After all of the parties are over the Mardi Gras beads usually remain, strewn all over the place and in big heaps in your hotel or apartment. So what is a chum to do with all of those beads once the party is over with? The cute girls are probably far less receptive to them now than they were a few days ago, and throwing them out just seems like a waste after everything that you went through to collect them. Hmm…
Well, how about reusing them? There will be plenty of other parties, of course, and plenty of other chances to bring your Mardi Gras beads back out into daylight once again. Or, try a more crafty route. Consider using them as ornamentation on your Christmas tree much like the families of old would do with stringed popcorn. Just tie several necklaces together and wrap them around the tree. Or you can use your beads to border various objects, like picture frames, molding on your wall, or even a door frame. In fact, you could simply cut your beads and hang them from the top of the door frame to create your own unique beaded curtains.
Don’t just waste all of those beads, put some thought into it and reuse them instead. Somebody put a lot of effort into designing unique beads for their krewe, and you put a lot of effort into collecting as many as you could, so reward all of that by finding a permanent use for them instead of chucking them in the garbage.
